Aciturri is an aerostructures and engine components Tier 1 supplier of all major aerospace OEMs. Mainly present in several locations in Spain, Aciturri group currently has facilities in Brazil, Portugal and France. The company covers the whole product value chain from conceptual design to customer support, developing manufacturing and assembly processes in a wide range of technologies covering additive manufacturing, composite and metallic materials. Following presence in Clean Sky as beneficiary and in Clean Sky 2 as Core Partner, the leadership of a major project in Clean Aviation exemplifies the ambition of Aciturri in having a major role in the de-carbonization of the aviation segment through the introduction of innovative and disruptive solutions.
Aciturri is performing since several years ago an important activity in the development of cryogenic and hydrogen storage solutions for space, aeronautics and ground transport applications. Aligned with these technology development line, Aciturri and Alestis (which is also part of the Aciturri group) lead several European and national R&D supported projects addressing different types of solutions.
Aciturri coordinates H2ELIOS project and acts as technical leader partner as cryogenic hydrogen storage concept owner. In particular, Aciturri will leads the demonstrator design and stress analysis workpackage of the project coordinating contributions from all other partners; therefore Aciturri has a relevant effort in all other workpackages. Alestis would lead the external tank manufacturing process development and complete cryogenic hydrogen storage demonstrator integration using Automatic Fibre Placement technology.
