The H2ELIOS project continues to advance the development of innovative liquid hydrogen (LH₂) storage solutions for future zero-emission aircraft. Throughout 2026, the consortium has shared important project achievements, milestones, and collaborative activities through two dedicated articles published in the EASN Newsletter 2026.

H2ELIOS in EASN Newsletter 2026 | Issue #1

The first article, "H2ELIOS: From Validation to Regulatory Readiness in Hydrogen Aviation", highlights the project's progress towards certification-oriented maturity. Key achievements include the validation of LH₂ storage technologies, the successful completion of the 900-cycle cryogenic durability challenge, and the approval of the EASA Means of Compliance. The article also features H2ELIOS partners' participation at the EASN 2025 Conference, where recent advances in hydrogen storage systems, cryogenic materials, and structural performance were presented to the European aerospace community.
