A new scientific paper produced within the framework of H2ELIOS has been published in Engineering Proceedings (MDPI), contributing to the body of knowledge around thermal modeling and hydrogen storage in aviation.

Titled "Thermal Digital Twin of LH₂ Aircraft Storage Tank," the paper introduces a simulation-based approach to better understand and predict the thermal behavior of liquid hydrogen within aircraft tanks. This type of modeling supports safety, performance, and design optimization—critical for enabling the next generation of hydrogen-powered aircraft.

The research represents a step forward in integrating digital twin technology into sustainable aviation systems, aligning with the broader goals of the H2ELIOS project and the EU’s vision for climate-neutral aviation.
